This song hit the number 15 slot in the UK chart in September 1977 as part of a four track EP entitled “Hot Tracks”. The other tracks were “This Flight Tonight”, “Broken Down Angel” and “Hair of the Dog”. “Love Hurts” peaked at number 8 in the USA and in Canada it provided the band with a number 1. This is their performance on Top of the Pops in the UK in September 1977. (“Love Hurts” appeared on Nazareth’s 1975 album “Hair of the Dog” in the USA as track three but was not included on the UK release, only on the “Greatest Hits” album released later that year.)
